Meet Gunner! This six year-old boy is a big love bug. He wants nothing more than to spend time with a human, laying with them or at their feet, most often with his head on your lap. He likes to give gentle kisses, but when excited he may give you little nibbles on your chin while giving kisses. Gunner is a typical Weim, as he does suffer from some separation anxiety, but we have found that having a buddy makes him perfectly content. He gets along great with other dogs! He's a rather calm boy, but he likes to play. He will does best in a home with another dog, and for this reason, only homes with a canine buddy will be considered for Gunner's furever home.
Gunner is a gentle boy and gets along well with kids. He does have a very high prey drive, so he will not do well in a home with cats. Gunner is quite soft-mouthed, so if you are searching for a hunting companion, he would be excellent. He has many of the regular weim traits, playfulness, the derp, nooking, deep sleep (even through storms and fireworks!) and counter-surfing (only if you leave food out). He is a wonderful boy who would bring lots of love and joy, as well as laughter. He just needs a buddy or a family that keep him company. Whatever love you give him, he'll give you more..
