All dogs adopted from Mile High Weimaraner Rescue are SPAYED or NEUTERED, current on shots, heartworm tested, and have a microchip implanted. There are NO exceptions.

If you are NOT yet pre-approved to adopt, please go to our rescue page to review the adoption process and fill out an on-line application.

In order to meet a dog in person, we MUST have an application from you. We have weekly scheduled Meet-n-Greets in public locations and everyone is welcome to attend! The Meet-n-Greets allow you to see a large variety of adoptable Weimaraners and they allow us to meet you so that we can find the best match for everyone! See our Events page for more information on the Meet-n-Greet dates, times, and locations.

We will only adopt a Weimaraner to those living within the following states: Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico, and Utah. If you wish to adopt a Weim from our rescue group, you will need to travel to the location of the dog - no exceptions. We mostly operate out of Denver, CO, however we have a branch in Wichita, KS.

Lastly, adopters must agree to the following:

Adopter will not allow the animal to be free to roam the streets or to transport it in the back of an open truck except within a dog crate. Must also agree to complete a mandatory eight-week obedience course with this dog as soon as possible. The animal shall not be used for medical or any experimental purposes whatsoever, shall not be kept chained or tied, and shall not be attack trained or used for fighting or breeding purposes.

If you live in the midwest or northwest, visit other Weimaraner rescue websites for dogs available in your area.
