Allison AKA Allie

When Allison first came to us she was shy and timid around new people. We could tell that she had been through a bit of a past. Yet, from the beginning, she has been a sweetie who has always enjoyed the pleasures of a friendly hand and a nice belly rub.

Allison, who we now call "Allie", has made tremendous progress in the time we have spend with her. For instance, when we first met Allie she detested water (we think she was never really exposed to it). The first time she put her one of her paws into a pool of water, she jumped back in disgust. However, with much patience and encouragement, she now successfully takes baths?without too much of a fuss.

Allie has also made a lot of progress in the art of being a dog. At first, Allie was so shy she would lie down for hours in a spot she felt at ease. She wouldn't bark, she was unusually obedient, and all she seemed to desire was love and affection. Now that Allie is a member of our family and feels completely at home, she has found her voice (which she uses moderately), has discovered the joys of romping around, and likes to challenge our rules every now and then (even though she's not successful in this aspect). She has also discovered a few hobbies, including: chasing and eating ice cubes, lying on a sunny porch, and playing with her Kong. Current Status: 100% Adorable Dog.

We are so incredibly happy that Allie came into our lives. She has been with us for three months and has already made a tremendous impact on us. We are happy we made the decision to adopt from the Mile High Weimaraner Rescue. It has been a rewarding and positive turn of event's promising years of delightful experiences to be had with our new friend, Allie.
