Dear folks at the Weim Rescue, Thanks for hooking us up with Remy. She was surrendered because she killed a Jack Russell Terrier that she lived with. The folks that gave her up didn't know what they had. She lives with Sadie, a Lab mix rescue (4yrs.), Maggie, a Sr. (12yr.) yellow Lab and us. She is my "supervisor" dog. She watches every move my 6yr. old grandson makes. We also call her Goofy, as she does the most amazing things! We took her with us when we went to Ariz. this last spring, after having her only a few months (we got her in Nov.,2009). She's turned out to be a great traveller. She discovered lizards and couldn't quite figure out how they could just disappear. I took her to the Colo. Dressage show this Aug. in Parker and she met all kinds and sizes of dogs, kids and horses. She had no problem with any of them. She learned to just hang out in a golf cart while I ran scores for the show and was a hit with everyone she met. She was especially fond of a two year old girl who was eating nachos. She assisted by cleaning up a giggiling face as well as hands while Grandma and Grandpa watched. We took a show horse to Park City, Ut. and she was so quiet, in the backseat, I had to check to see if she was still breathing. She is just a love. We took her on a horse pack trip in Sept. and she carried her own food in a doggie pack. Most dogs I have taught to do this, have run through water and bushes, making a mess of the contents of the packs. Remy dutifully followed behind the horses and never veered off the trail. Only after the packs were removed, did she run and play. Totally amazing! Thanks so much for the wonderful companion. We love her dearly.
Love, Remy's Family
